VEX Robotics is an educational robotics program designed to introduce students across different levels to robotics and involve them in science, technology, and engineering. Our troop utilizes the VEX EDR (now VEX Cortex & VEX V5) platform to help teach girls a range of skills in robotics design and development. The VEX platform creates a great way for the girls in our troop to gain hands-on experience and practice the Engineering Design Process in a team environment.

Each year, VEX and the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) present the annual VEX Robotics Challenge, as a way to add another element to the program. The challenge is a game played by robot teams where robots compete with different elements and pieces to score points based on the objectives laid out in the rules. The robots we design and build each year are made to solve the objectives of the challenge and compete at various local and national tournaments as part of the competition.
