2016-17: Starstruck

Team 1868

For the 2016-17 season, the challenge was called Starstruck. Our troop had 26 girls this year. With help from the engineering design process, we competed with four robots over the course of the competition season.

Rules of the Game

In this challenge, the alliances must compete by scoring with stars and cubes. To score, a star or cube must be thrown over the fence that divides the alliances. The number of points awarded  depends on the object (star or cube), and if the object is thrown into the “near zone” or the “far zone.”

To earn additional points, a team can have their robot hang on one of the hanging bars. The robot must be hanging at the end of the match to earn these points.
